Manchester City condemn Liverpool to their first Premiere League defeat and re-ignite title race.

Manchester City managed to beat Liverpool 2-1 yesterday at the giant Etihad stadium,thereby condemning Liverpool to their first defeat of the season and ultimately re-igniting the title race in a tightly contested match.

Every soccer loving person new that Liverpool would be facing a mammoth task when they faced Manchester City at the Etihad stadium...Liverpool hopefuls hoped that their team's outstanding performance would play a part in the clash but alas it was not to be as the fired up Citizens managed to beat their rivals 2-1 and close the gap to four points...thus making the title race more exciting.Roberto Firmino's 64th minute strike was not enough to cover for Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane goals.

Bernado Silva was in superb form and he managed to clinch the man of the match award.The Portugal International  managed to cover a distance of 13.7km,the best that any player has managed in the EPL this season.

Pep Guardiola's team showed us a glimpse of what they are capable of,they managed to beat Liverpool with the absence of star players like Kevin de Bruyne,Riyad Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus.I think Man City are a team on a mission,a mission of reclaiming the EPL league title, what do you think?The have an excellent starting eleven and a bench that is better than some of the teams in the EPL.

Frankly i'm excited about this result because it has re-opened competition for the title race and also showed us that the invincible Liverpool can be defeated after all.
Now we eagerly look forward to the upcoming fixtures with the hope that the title race will go down to the wire.Everyone loves competition and that's what in my opinion makes the English Premier League very interesting.There is never an outright winner an competition continues to almost the end of the season unlike other European Leagues.
The question now is will the Reds get over their defeat by the Citizens and go back to winning ways, or this loss is one of a series of defeats coming in Liverpool's way.

We've seen big teams crumbling at times that matter the most...is this the start of Jurgen Klopp's

 series of unfortunate results or it's just a a minor setback on Liverpool's way to victory
